„The Garden of Maitreya” – București, cel mai tânăr grup de studiu afiliat FPMT din România, a fost fondat în 2025 de către Dr. Veronica Anghelescu, masterandă la Institutul Lama Tsongkhapa din Italia, unde se formează sub îndrumarea Venerabilului Geshe Jampa Gelek. Inițiativa s-a conturat în jurul unei pasiuni profunde pentru studiul, transcrierea și traducerea învățăturilor orale și a textelor clasice budiste din tradiția Gelugpa, eforturi reflectate într-o publicație periodică de tip academic, redactată în limba engleză.
Comunitatea, aflată încă în formare, s-a coagulat firesc în jurul acestor preocupări, ca urmare a întâlnirilor facilitate de Dr. Veronica Anghelescu cu Venerabilul Geshe Jampa Gelek și colaboratorul său apropiat, cercetătorul și traducătorul Lotsawa Sherab. Împreună, grupul se implică activ în proiectul „Make Your Reading Practice Benefit Others”, în cadrul căruia participanții studiază lucrările Sanctității Sale Dalai Lama și ale altor venerabili maeștri din linia FPMT, extrăgând pasaje semnificative menite să fie partajate publicului larg.
Spațiul de publicare al acestor selecții este pagina de Facebook „Garden of Maitreya”, iar citatele sunt atent selectate și verificate scriptural, având rolul de a conecta publicul cu Dharma prezentată autentic, într-un efort de contracarare a proliferării așa-numitelor „Buddha quotes” eronate, care pot conduce la interpretări greșite sau deformări ale mesajului originar.
Scopul mai amplu al proiectului este acela de a identifica afinități de studiu între participanți, în vederea orientării acestora către unul dintre programele educaționale oferite de FPMT. În această etapă, prezența fizică nu este o condiție esențială – întâlnirile au loc online, iar The Garden of Maitreya închiriază săli pentru predare și practică doar atunci când profesorii noștri confirmă disponibilitatea pentru vizite și sesiuni directe.
De asemenea, grupul este angajat într-o colaborare activă cu celelalte centre FPMT din România și susține efortul de centralizare a evenimentelor de Dharma organizate la nivel național, prin intermediul paginii de social media FPMT România.

“The Garden of Maitreya” – Bucharest, the youngest FPMT-affiliated study group in Romania, was founded in 2025 by Dr. Veronica Anghelescu, a Master’s student at the Lama Tsongkhapa Institute in Italy, where she studies under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Jampa Gelek. The initiative emerged from a deep passion for the study, transcription, and translation of oral teachings and classical Buddhist texts from the Gelugpa tradition, efforts reflected in an academic-style periodical published in English.
The community, still in formation, naturally gathered around these interests following meetings facilitated by Dr. Veronica Anghelescu with Venerable Geshe Jampa Gelek and his close collaborator, the researcher and translator Lotsawa Sherab. Together, the group is actively involved in the “Make Your Reading Practice Benefit Others” project, in which participants study the works of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and other revered masters from the FPMT lineage, extracting meaningful passages to share with a wider audience.
These selected quotations are published on the Garden of Maitreya Facebook page, carefully chosen and scripturally verified, with the aim of connecting the general public to an authentic presentation of the Dharma. This initiative also serves as a counterbalance to the widespread dissemination of so-called “Buddha quotes” that are often misattributed and risk distorting the true message of the teachings.
The broader aim of this project is to identify shared study interests among participants, guiding them toward one of FPMT’s educational programs. At this stage, physical presence is not required—group meetings are held online, and The Garden of Maitreya rents practice and teaching spaces only when our teachers confirm their availability for in-person visits.
The group also actively collaborates with other FPMT centers in Romania and supports the coordination of Dharma-related events at the national level through the FPMT Romania social media page.

« The Garden of Maitreya » – Bucarest, le plus jeune groupe d’étude affilié à la FPMT en Roumanie, a été fondé en 2025 par la Dre Veronica Anghelescu, actuellement en master à l’Institut Lama Tsongkhapa en Italie, où elle étudie sous la direction du Vénérable Guéshé Jampa Gelek. Ce projet est né d’une passion profonde pour l’étude, la transcription et la traduction des enseignements oraux et des textes classiques bouddhistes de la tradition Gelugpa, efforts concrétisés dans une publication périodique de type académique, rédigée en anglais.
La communauté, encore jeune et en formation, s’est constituée naturellement autour de ces activités, à la suite de rencontres organisées par la Dre Veronica Anghelescu avec le Vénérable Guéshé Jampa Gelek et son proche collaborateur, le chercheur et traducteur Lotsawa Sherab. Ensemble, le groupe s’investit activement dans le projet « Make Your Reading Practice Benefit Others », où les participants étudient les œuvres de Sa Sainteté le Dalaï-Lama et d’autres maîtres vénérables de la lignée FPMT, en sélectionnant des passages pertinents à partager avec un public plus large.
Ces citations sont publiées sur la page Facebook Garden of Maitreya, soigneusement sélectionnées et vérifiées sur le plan scriptural, dans le but de relier le grand public à une présentation authentique du Dharma. Ce projet vise également à contrer la diffusion massive de prétendues « citations de Bouddha », souvent erronées, qui risquent de déformer le message originel des enseignements.
L’objectif plus large est d’identifier des affinités d’étude partagées entre les participants, afin de les orienter vers l’un des programmes éducatifs de la FPMT. À ce stade, la présence physique n’est pas nécessaire – les rencontres ont lieu en ligne, et The Garden of Maitreya ne loue des espaces de pratique ou d’enseignement qu’à l’occasion des visites confirmées de ses enseignants.
Le groupe entretient également une collaboration active avec les autres centres FPMT en Roumanie et participe à la centralisation des événements bouddhistes organisés dans le pays via la page de médias sociaux FPMT Roumanie.
